Current Gallery: buffalotracehistoricschoolseries ( piece)
Between 1980-2004, Maysville, Kentucky artist Sandra Columbia Moss (1936-2012) created a series of eleven pen-and-ink renderings of historic school buildings from the Buffalo Trace area covering Mason, Bracken, Fleming, Lewis & Robertson counties, and Adams & Brown counties in Ohio. Only a few of these buildings are still in use as schools, though several have been adapted to other uses, while others have been abandoned or razed.
